Together with the German Sports Youth (dsj), we are pursuing the goal of enabling children to be more active. To this end, we developed the framework concept “Kitas in Bewegung” (daycare centres in motion), which supports sports clubs and other organizations in setting up physical activity daycare centres. The framework concept contains measurable quality criteria that help to make daycare centers more active.
“MANUS bewegt” is a weekly exercise program for children and young people that is integrated into the program of the two MANUS children's and youth centers in Bottrop and Gelsenkirchen. There are weekly activities such as a swimming course, a soccer club, an inline skating club with an inline skating license, kickboxing and assertiveness training as well as an inclusive sports program.
In the Tandem Young Coach program, a Young Coach with a disability is prepared for the challenges of coaching soccer for people with disabilities together with a tandem partner without a disability. The tasks are divided up according to individual strengths and the respective team is managed together.
The SAFE-HUB project organized by AMANDLA gGmbH offers diverse and innovative opportunities for children and young people in Berlin. Sports and exercise programs are used to individually support young people in various areas of life. Teaching democratic values is a fundamental part of this.
